Lead 3D Artist for Innovative AI Learning Game

Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional 3D Artist to join our growing team. You will play a key role in shaping the artistic direction of LingoLooper, focusing particularly on creating lively, emotion-rich avatars, and crafting immersive environments that breathe life into our virtual cities. You will be one of the early joiners, helping us transform language learning through interactive AI-powered gaming.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and animate lifelike 3D avatars that capture the fun, immersive essence of LingoLooper.
• Develop captivating environments for the different cities, infusing them with cultural details and iconic landmarks.
• Collaborate closely with the programming team to ensure that all art assets are game-ready.
• Contribute to UI design and other art-related tasks.
• Take the lead on the artistic direction of LingoLooper, shaping its unique visual identity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a 3D artist, ideally within the gaming industry.
• Minimum 3+ years working professionally with 3D modeling and animation; until now we’ve been using Blender, but we are flexible.
• Experience working with Unity.
• Strong artistic skills, with an eye for detail, color, lighting, and animation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

Ideally, you would also have experience with:

• Procedurally generated characters.
• Low-poly, cartoon-style artwork.
• Cultural and location-specific details.
• Refining and enhancing the artistic direction of a project.
